Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is off the auction block, according to Bloomberg.
The outlet is citing people familiar with the situation for the news that AT&T has removed its video game division from its list of non-core assets up for sale.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment publishes a number of significant gaming properties, including Mortal Kombat, the Batman Arkham franchise, and numerous Lego brand crossovers like Lego Star Wars.
The first reports that AT&T would consider selling its gaming operation surfaced in June, with a potential price tag of $4 billion and Take-Two, Electronic Arts, and Activision Blizzard floated as potential buyers. Microsoft would later be reported to show interest as well.

NetherRealm Studios announced they are officially ending DLC support for Mortal Kombat 11 and are currently focused on their next project. What their next project is, or whether or not it's a fighting game, is currently unknown. In the official tweet, NRS clarified that no additional DLC characters will be added to MK11 beyond this point. Mortal Kombat 11 originally launched on April 23rd, 2019. In 2020, the game received two title updates, MK11: Aftermath and MK11: Ultimate — adding new characters, including action movie icons such as Terminator T-800, Joker, Spawn, Robocop, and Rambo. Below is the tweet from NRS confirming the news.
The popular fighting games, such as Street Fighter V and TEKKEN 7, have seen DLC support continue for upwards of 5 years into multiple seasons — in part thanks to continued active player support, strong DLC sales, and record-breaking success in eSports worldwide. MK11 sales surpassed 8 million units worldwide, slightly more than SFV (5.5 million) and TEKKEN 7 (7 million)

Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms picks up shortly after the explosive finale of Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, the 2020 blockbuster hit that initiated these animated films – which are based on one of the most popular videogame franchises in history.

In Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms, our team of heroes is besieged by the enemy forces of Shao Kahn – forcing Raiden and his group of warriors into a deal to compete in a final Mortal Kombat that will determine the fate of the realms. Now our heroes must travel to Outworld in order to defend Earthrealm and, simultaneously, Scorpion must find the ancient Kamidogu before it’s used to resurrect the One Being – which would mean certain destruction of all things in the universe. Time is short and the stakes are high in this action-packed continuation of the Mortal Kombat journey.
