Gameplay Mechanics
Meter and Interface
Mortal Kombat 11 introduces a dynamic meter system split into offensive and defensive bars. Use the offensive meter for special attacks and interactive elements, and the defensive meter for avoiding injury and performing wake-up moves.
Custom Variations
Create unique character variations and customize moves (note: Custom Variations are allowed in competitive matches after the latest patch, except for some character moves).
Flawless Block
Flawless Block is a new mechanic that functions as a parry, allowing for faster recovery and counterattacks.
Rollback
Use Rollback to quickly get up by rolling backward or forward with the appropriate button combination.
Fatal Blow
Fatal Blow is a powerful move that activates when health drops below 30%. Each match allows for only one Fatal Blow unless blocked or dodged.
Krushing Blow
Krushing Blow delivers extra damage and can be performed once per match for each attack type.
