Actually if we see mortal kombat story background kunglao family sacrifices more for saving earthrealm not liu kang so Kung lao should be deserve mortal kombat champion.

i just was reading about mk gold said that everyone thought kung loa was dead by shoa khans hand but he was living a non violent quiet life until shinnok came and so on
so could this mean that in this timeline kung loa still isnt dead? ( and if so i have to change my sig) |

Well, i think Kung Lao should have kicked Shao Kahn's ass and become champion, enuff said. If he really died, who brought him back to life?
