Actress Jeri Ryan has been confirmed as Sonya Blade in the Mortal Kombat web series, got the first on-the-set video and interview with her!
Ryan, also known as Star Trek: Voyager's Seven of Nine, promises the MK web-series will be gritty, with no campy "kissing" finishing moves. You can also expect a ton of whoop-ass. "[Sonya] gets into it with Kano a bit -- there's a bit of a history there," Ryan says of her character. "She takes out a few of the Black Dragons, she kicks a little bit of ass, it's good times," Ryan adds.
