Kung Lao or Liu Kang

I forgot to write that xD
I voted for Liu Kang because I saw Kung Lao first time in MKD... So I thought that Liu Kang is more popular, if this is not true, it looks like I missed something.

Lui Kang is fire and Kung Lao is wind.
Kung Lao reminds me of Fujin the God of Wind and Fujin becomes that in Mortal Kombat 4 after Raiden is promoted to be the Elder God then Raiden chooses Fujin to be the person to look after Earthrealm's warriors. I like Kung Lao's fatality when he spins around like a vacuum and the opponent gets sucked in to it and ends up being blown up.
I guess there is a real tally for Lui Kang, Kung Lao and Fujin if it were created.

Both Lui Kang and Kung Lao have a common enemy and that is Shang Tsung. Both Lui Kang and Kung Lao have beaten Shang Tsung in the tournament.
Kung Lao's tournament is shown in MK Conquest which is about Kung Lao.
Lui Kang's tournament is shown in Mortal Kombat the first movie which is about Lui Kang and the other Earthrealm warriors trying to pass through the tournament. Johnny Cage's two fighters he versed great against were Scorpion and Goro, Sonya Blade versed great against Kano.

well Liu kang and kung lao both are powerful monks but kung lao is more popular then liu kang and that's why we created this poll

For me the only evidence I have is MK Conquest for Kung Lao. Until there is a movie about Kung Lao then I can attest to having similarities between them.

Every time that I have been Kung Lao i seem to thrash Shao Kahn more then he does to me in MK Trilogy.

MK Conquest Kung Lao is Great Kung Lao and it's different then gaming kung lao but however overall kung lao is popular then liu kang

Kung Lao is better in my opinion.. He is strong, his kicks just rock.. He has a Hat with a blade on it lol..
