Samurai Costumes, Kold War Scorpion, Quitalities, and... Predator Confirmed

NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat X stream unveiled quite a few new things today. To start, the Samurai Costume Pack will be part of the Premium Edition bundle (which costs $80.99) and includes costumes for Kitana, Quan Chi & Kenshi. The fan-created "Kold War Scorpion" costume will also appear in the game, new "Quitalities" will punish rage quitters online, and... ohh yeah... Predator has been confirmed playable via a leak on the Xbox Store (we'll get to that in a bit).

Alright, I know that's a lot to wrap your head around. So let's start with what NetherRealm Studios WANTED YOU TO KNOW ABOUT, today... The Samurai Costume Pack! Here's a concept artwork for the samurai costumes, below.



Next up... Kold War Scorpion. This was originally a fan art (created by fear-sAs) posted on the Kombat Kollective. NetherRealm Studios hasn't yet clarified how players can obtain this skin... but it'll likely be DLC of some sort.




Next, here's a screen capture of a... "Quitality". Indeed, this is what you'll see if your opponent decides to Rage Quit on you. (Actually their head will explode first.) Let's just hope MKX ends up having awesome netcode and doesn't randomly disconnect players often, or else there'll end up being many falsely accused... Quitality-iters.



NetherRealm also showed the first gameplay footage of Mileena, Takeda Takahashi and Kung Jin on today's stream. I'll post videos or the stream archive here once it's available online. You can also watch it on youtube, twitch, or other media sites.

And finally.... this last bit of news has nothing to do with NetherRealm's stream, because NetherRealm wasn't ready to announce it. The [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]'s listing totally leaked Predator being playable in MKX. Here's the actual listing from the Xbox Store below:

The Kombat Pack is currently available in the Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition on the Xbox Store. Kombat Pack grants early access to 4 new playable characters and skin packs. Stalk and slash your opponents as Horror Icon Jason Voorhees, or play as Predator, the Ultimate Hunter. Two Klassic Mortal Kombat characters complete the offer. Each playable character comes with a themed skin pack including three new skins for select characters. Also includes The Samurai Pack available on April 14th, 2015.

So yeah... MKX's "Kombat Pack" will include Predator, Jason Vorhees, plus 2 "Klassic" Mortal Kombat characters. (And too bad it's not all included in the $59.99 price for the game.) You're gonna have to add approximately one full-price movie ticket to the original fee (total of $80.99) for those extra characters. Predator wants your money.

DLC-ality! ...who's next?

In other news, the PS4 version of Mortal Kombat X will be compatible with PS3 arcade stick. So if you don't already have a PS4 fightpad or stick, you'll be able to get some extra use out of your PS3 peripherals.
