Doesn't quite fit the environment of MK in my opinion. Not that it's bad though. Still i'm asking, what does this topic has to do in an article form? It's no news, but borderline spam if you ask me.

I think the music should be dance / electronic like the MK movie theme.

Games are far away from the movies. But i think the best way for music (In many games as it is) would be to stick with creating most of their score. I like something slow, moody in most of the games i play unless there's a scare scene or a big shock, in these cases i think a bang is appropriate.
But i'd rather not have a fighting game be all about dance and sheer electronic. |

I disagree. Something less catchy, or let's call it more complicated and technically written music is way more rewarding to hear and to listen to more than once than any catchy number to me. And what you perceive as being catchy music may not be as catchy for another fan of the same game. MK has done with enough cavernous music, to fast and louds guitar riffs and even though i'm not eager to have a game all based on music as brutal as the fighting, it's a popular franchise for a reason. It never needed mainstream dance, electro or anything catchy to help it in the first place.
you would love this because you sure love the music type you're suggesting. I'm a metal fan myself but i don't think having a soundtrack for a game all based on headbanging would help anything. Neither would it help to have an emphasis on music that make people want to dance instead of focusing on the gameplay. There are games for that i think. Dance revolution is all dance, Pop and electronic music for you to enjoy.;) Last edited by Jonnyrp; 10-04-2014 at 07:42 AM. |

I am agree with Jonnyrp that the music should not be so much like sheer electronic because mkx stages are looking very mysterious.
