MK9 Liukang Dead

According to mk9 story mode liu kang and kung lao are dead and J.cage and sonya are left from hero side so now what do think who will become next MK Champion.

Interesting.

I wish they will assume killing Liu this time and maybe have him out of the roster for a couple games. Without forget him in references though, could make him much more of a legend than he already is.

But i think it could be anyone from now on, even one from the evil side or a neutral characater. Wouldn't be a first for the bad guys to win since MKD's intro. But i'd love for Johnny Cage to become new champ. Him or Kenshi are my personnal choices, although Sonya deserves it too.

well if the continue with the mk4/da/d/a storyline....maybe kai the other shoaliin monk, or possibly shujinko or taven or kenshi or who knows maybe even li mei. we will just have to wait and see...maybe when the new game begins. the elder gods bring back everyone from the dead or something

he look genetic n plain. taven need a upgrade lol possibly better moves and better costumes. i do like his sketch i saw on MKA gallery.

that will hurt LKH if he read about lui kang is dead.

Hahahaha, you are 7 years late,boy.

I think killing liu kang was the right choice, with how the good guys were dominating the bad guys, the forces of evil needed something.....big.... enormous to drastically turn the tables in their favor. And I think the biggest way to do that was killing earthrealm's defending superman, liu kang. Hell, I think if liu kang comes back an evil spirit(like those raiden fought) earthrealm will be in an even bigger trouble than it already is.



About the new champion. I think the easiest and most fitting choices would be shujinko or taven. It's not moveset or popularity that wins the main character spot since changing moves and appearance is easier than changing the storyline.

The champion could also end up being a new character, or it could even be raiden if that's possible. There could possibly be a internal struggle/quarrel there(like the one between raiden and liu kang) between Raiden and Shujinko and/or Taven, considering what he remembers in his vision of what they did in the original timeline(Shujinko bringing onaga, and taven failing to win armagedon)

not only that but fujin could serve as someone against raiden...or someone who dosen't like him...maybe he's like gratefull that he saved earthrealm but he's angry for getting almost all the other earthrealm warriors getting killed.

and yeah a new character was something i thought of. i wasn't sure if that would of been good to say LOL im not sure people want a new fighter.

That's very true, mk fans tend to really dislike new characters, and new protagonists even more, but this time they seem to have done beautifully in mk9. With dlcs like scarlet I mean.

I think what they need to do to make a new character famous, is to give them a likable appearance and a good moveset. Storyline and personality may matter more, but I think the majority of the mk fanbase disagrees.

That's true. Or let's hope that it "Used" to be true. Skarlet made a really good debut but you know, based on the sales, critics the MK Universe's fanbase seems to have grown bigger with this installment that it did since after MK4. What i'm saying is also that for many people MK4 characters and younger will be new chars (If introduced.)

To the vets, yet once again ten years old characters might been perceived like the crew and fans have never given up on Nostalgia over a decent game/Roster. I think Motaro wasn't even introduced as a boss fight though. EVERYONE DEFEND YOUR C LIST FAV CHAR. LOL.
