x-rays. That's about it. The graphics aren't revolutionary. The fighting engine is good but not excellent. Character models are pretty good.

In a general manner of speaking, a lot for the fans. But my fav new stuff about MK9 is the x-Ray. Also the look of some modes like Krypt and the DLC. DLC is not new in games i know. But with the success of the game, the return of the Arcade Kollection and that you like having Freddy or not, DLC for MK can do great things even in the future.

Even for an individual that likes the game more or less, DLC means that if you don't buy a game at first the wait for DLC stuff might end up changing your mind.

Not sure, are you asking what type of stuff we would like to see added or is it a remark based on previous post?

The game engine is not bad. I had a hard time coming back to the 2d gameplay and controls at first but not much about the gameplay i would change. The 3d used to make the fights more diverse in my eye though.

It's more the modes that i would change i guess. STILL

Why i was still bored so fast? Wonder. My only close friend that played it was feeling the same after an hour. Its got a lot to offer on the cover but meh. Lack some depth. Would need more in terms of defensive means imo. (Breaking x-Ray is nothing guaranteed with no sidestep added for instance.) But on the other end, the guy who gets beat up the most will see his x-Ray bar go up faster than the attacking guy. I dislike that in terms of challenge but if only to have a chance to even things up why not? APPROVED

Needs to be back to a simple thing with characters having different assets to their disposition but not everyone equipped with the same stuff like all characters having breakers and parry in MKD and MKA. After all, the bosses are really big and tuff since combos inflict them less damage and some of them you can't even perform a throw on. Balance? Equip all chars with the same breakers or power moves doesn't make it more balance imo. Having something for each char to use to try and counter does. Bosses are unbalanced after all. MK9's defensive and attacking balance? TOO MUCH SO DISLIKE.

I'd say make some characters more powerful or faster than others about gameplay a little like the old Scorp and Sub Zero free combos after a projectile. (Making Kabal's nomad move slower or less powerful in terms of damage is an unnecessary flaw added to him imo.) DISLIKE

This is what i would change about gameplay. Go back to some challenge when you know you will face a certain char equip with something not many characters are equipped with unlike freeze move, spear and teleport. or go back to 3d if challenges bother ppl. I'm not against not being equipped with as much as the enemy is in 2d (In fact i like), but 3d has more to offer as exictement on the defensive end. VOTE? 2D OR 3D, DRAW.

I have many ideas about the many aspects of this franchise but would first have to put them all in a clear order. THX. Long post i know.

Enhance move is also good thing in mk9

Well the special bar is kind of really cool (Enhanced, breaker, x-Ray). I like that some moves are unblockables too. But some of them when input in the middle of a combo you just can't defend against after blocking the other hits. Soul Calibur unblockables give you time to respond or use sidestep.

As i said, everyone equipped with all the same stuff sucks this time.

street fighter also use ex moves but Enhance better and powerful

Yeah, i like the SF ex moves but the enhanced MK special and signature moves is really interesting.
