Cheat mode

Enter one of the following codes at the versus screen before a match begins, with player one entering the first three digits and player two entering the last three digits.

Additional color schemes
Highlight a character and press Start. Then, press X PlayStation3 or A Xbox 360 for the original Arcade version color scheme. Press Start again for the alternate color scheme.

Always fight Goro in Ladder mode
Choose a person at the character selection screen in Ladder mode, Then, hold Select PlayStation3 or Back Xbox 360 while choosing a difficulty setting. The game will default to include Goro, instead of Kintaro in the boss Fight.

Alternate music
In Versus mode, press 'Start when selecting a stage. Shao Kahn laugh. That stage's music will be replaced with a song from a previous Mortal Kombat title. Note: The following stages do not have an alternate soundtrack: The Courtyard (Night), Desert, The Flesh Pits, Hell, Rooftop (Dusk), Shao Kahn's Throne Room, Shang Tsung's Gardens, Shang Tsung's Gardens (Night), and The Bell Tower.

Unlockables
Secret battles
Complete the indicated task in Arcade mode to unlock the corresponding battle.
Secret "Jade" battle: Get a double flawless victory and perform a fatality on Shang Tsung when battling against him. Secret "Noob Saibot" battle: When you see Noob in "The Temple" stage's background, win that battle without using [Block]. Secret "Reptile" battle: On "The Pit 2 (Night)" stage, wait until a shadowy figure flies across the moon, then get a double flawless victory and perform a stage fatality. Secret "Smoke" battle: On "The Living Forest" stage, wait until Smoke appears behind one of the trees then immediately press Down + Select (PlayStation3) or Down + Back (Xbox 360) repeatedly.

Play as Cyber Sub-Zero
Successfully complete Chapter 13 in Story mode.
Play as QuanChi
Successfully complete Chapter 16 in Story mode.
Mileena's Fleshpit costume
Successfully complete level 300 of the Challenge Tower.

Hints
Skip Krypt animation
When unlocking anything in the Krypt, press X PlayStation3 or A Xbox 360 to skip the animation. This makes browsing much faster.

Secret chests of the Krypt
Each chest is numbered on the map in bright red numbers. The location is in that general area. The map is too compact to point out exactly where. To access all secret chests, you must first go to their respective locations. Next, you will need to access the Krypt map from each location. Press Triangle PlayStation3 or Y Xbox 360 . After this, exit the map by holding Circle PlayStation3 or B Xbox 360. You should then see a "SEC2" appear at the bottom of the screen if you were in the correct location. Then, press X PlayStation3 or A Xbox 360 to purchase the chest for free and "earn" 20,000 Koins.

Hollow of Infestation: Secret chest
About half way down the wall, next to the Hollow of Infestation, access the Krypt map by pressing Triangle PlayStation3 or Y Xbox 360. Then, exit the map by holding Circle PlayStation3 or B Xbox 360. You should see "SEC2" appear at the bottom of your screen. Press X PlayStation3 or A Xbox 360 to purchase it and receive 5,000 Koins.

Meadow of Despair: Secret chest
In the Krypt, go all the way back through the Meadow of Despair towards the Nekropolis until you cannot walk anymore. Go slightly to the right, enough so that the stairs going up to the Nekropolis are about half on the screen. From here, go to the map that shows you all of the Krypt areas. Your marker will show where you are standing. Hold Circle PlayStation3 or B Xbox 360 to exit and return to the Krypt. When you can control yourself again, you will see "SEC 4" on the screen. Purchase it and a chest will appear from the ground, giving 5,000 Koins. A few attempts may be required to get the positioning correct.

Easy "Hide And Seek" achievement or trophy
When fighting in "The Living Forest" stage in Arcade mode, when you see Smoke pop out from behind one of the trees, press Down + Select PlayStation3 or Down + Back Xbox 360 repeatedly. Then, classic Smoke will challenge you and you will earn the "Hide And Seek" achievement or trophy. You will get 2,000 coins for defeating him.

Easy "Pit Master" achievement or trophy
When fighting on "The Pit 2" (Night) stage in Arcade mode, wait until a shadowy figure flies across the moon, then get a double flawless victory and perform a stage fatality. Then, classic Reptile will challenge you, and you will earn the "Pit Master" achievement or trophy. You will get 5,000 coins for defeating him.

Easy "Brotherhood Of Shadow" achievement or trophy
When you see Noob Saibot standing in the background during a fight in the "Temple" (Cathedral) stage in Arcade mode, win all rounds without blocking. Then, classic Noob Saibot will challenge you and you will unlock the "Brotherhood Of Shadow" achievement. You will get 1,000 coins for defeating him. Note: To get classic Noob Saibot to appear easily when he does not appear in the Temple (Cathedral) stage, pause game play and return to the player selection screen. Begin the match again and repeat this process until he appears.

Easy "You Found Me!" achievement or trophy
When fighting Shang Tsung in Arcade mode, get a double flawless victory and perform a fatality. Then, classic Jade will challenge you in Goro's Lair and you will earn the "You Found Me!" achievement or trophy. You will get 5,000 coins for defeating her.
