Mortal Kombat fans rejoice! Get your first look at the new Sub Zero from director Kevin Tancharoen’s web series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy that was just picked up by Machimina.com and produced by Warner Brother Digital. Yesterday we unveiled the first clip of the film and news of its pick up, so it has been a good week for the franchise as it gets its budding restart.
Kevan Ohtsji portrays the iconic Lin Kuei warrior and there’s no denying that the Sub-Zero design should please both fans of the original game mythology as well as Tancharoen’sMortal Kombat: Rebirth shortfilm.
Tancharoen plans to establish based on his Rebirth trailer, a series that combines gritty realism with fantasy elements required to properly service a multi-realm fantasy story that features mutants, damned souls, and elder Gods. I say he has done it and this is just another teaser as to what we have in store. My question is this: when are they going to turn this into a new film property?
