Cool MKX's gameplay details

Here are some details of MKX collected by The Kombat Tether:
- Kano's Fatality: He slices the opponents abdomen open with his knife causing intestines and entrails to s**** to the floor. He then gets behind the opponent and laser burns a gaping hole through the victims head with his eye implant.
- Kano refers to Raiden as 'the big cheese' in his intro and then tells him to get his 'crystal ball fixed'.
- Dash-Cancelling is a thing of the past. Runs can be cancelled mid-run however.
- Characters get a wet sheen over them in the Jungle stage when they are knocked into the water.
- Most environmental leveraging can be meter-burned.
- All characters have universal moves like an uppercut and sweep but in their own personalised style.
- It appears some characters have a unique blocking animation. Raiden utilises a column of electricity in his hands.
- Cassie Vs. Cassie intro: 'Ha, funny.' - 'What's funny is your face' - 'You just insulted yourself.'
- Scorpion is the most damaging character overall in the current build. Likely to change with later builds and patch updates.
- Some characters have button input taunts specific to certain variations. Cassie will perform a salute.
- Kano has 'Air Ball, Kano Ball, Up Ball and Knife Throw as his universal moves across all of his variations.
- Yellowish-green Player 2 costume colouring for Cassie.
- Increased frame data info in moves-list: Start up, active, recover, block advantage, hit advantage, cancel, etc.
- Kotal Kahn has some of the most damaging chain combos across all present characters.

Breaking news from TKT:

Thanks to our friend BruskPoet, he managed to have a quick chat with Shaun Himmerick at the PlayStation Experience, drilling him with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] questions. Whilst news is scarce, he did manage to get a few nuggets of information, listed below:

- We will learn more of the games story in January/February.
- There will be no 'day' or 'night' version of stages in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], but some stages will feature a 'dynamic weather system' that will change as the match progresses.
- The character select screen is not final, the final roster count depends on how much they can 'jam in' before release.
- Shaun placed further emphasis on Quan Chi's resurrection abilities in the past and stated again that MKX will have 'revenants' of some of those who fell in MK9.
- Every stage will have some form of environmental interaction.
- The game is to be submitted next month for the final stage of development.
- A lot of characters are 'finished' back at NetherRealm Studios.
- When asked about unlockable characters, Shaun stated he couldn't answer that question.
- There will not be 'Babalities' in Mortal Kombat X as they do not fit this new style of Mortal Kombat.
- It is very probable that we will see Fatalities in the story mode.
- There will be some form of 'King Of The Hill' in online play.
- Goro is Shaun's favourite character in the game at this point, he will get a reveal trailer eventually.
