Boon tells TRMK in interview
TRMK was at E3 this week and they have recently posted an interview with Ed Boon.
TRMK: Fans expect this game to follow the storyline of MK4 and beyond, but it looks like you are taking the story in another direction. Will fans see some familiar faces from the series they haven’t seen yet in MK9? Ed Boon: You will definitely see a Mortal Kombat 4 character, I believe that's the first time I've said that. I like to see Fujin as mentioned MK4 character, but not just because Wind God is my favorite MK4 character.
Maybe Fujin finally get the status of Protector of the Earthrealm, like in his MK4 ending. I know endings in MK games present just possible scenes in storyline, but Raiden gets promotion in his own MK4 ending. Thunder God resigns of Elder God status in Deadly Alliance, but what next? Events from MK4, Deadly Alliance, Deception and Alliance are no matter after reboot. Things are changed in past. Maybe Raiden is still like fortune-teller, because of memories from the future. We already don't know how much through these all 25 years. What about Reiko/Tanya as new Emperor/Queen of Outworld? How long can Shao live  ? Maybe he is imprisoned by Elder Gods somewhere (Netherrealm?). We know from first interview with Ed Boon, the known character will be the big boss (no totally new boss). Shinnok had his tryin to conquer all Realms. Sindel is dead again.

Voted Tanya but i think the name that makes sense at the moment would be Shinnok. I'd so love to see Fujin too. They're part of my favs in the cast (Those 3). But see as how bad Tanya's been asked i think that could happen.
And by the way. If you know Ed, you know that when he says: "You'll definitely see one from MK4." he may means more than one but at least one. And as for the MKDA-MKA era. It's still early, but we haven't been fed much classic and familiar MK stuff yet other than Scorpion and Sub Zero. Which is cool. But with a roster around 24, i bet there will be a couple more new faces but expect between 10-15 returning faces. |

i voted for Fujin because he is one of my fave characters from MK4, i too like Tanya as well i like her moves the split kick especially

well its a hard choice cause I like Reiko and shinnok and Tanya(cause she's hot) but fujin is defiantly at the top of my wishlist. he hasn't been giving all that much face time. and it would be nice to see him get more.
