The Mortal Kombat video game series made its debut in 1992 when Midway developed the arcade game. This game was subsequently adapted for home consoles like the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
Building upon its initial success, Mortal Kombat achieved even greater acclaim and recognition with the launch of Mortal Kombat II in 1993. From then onwards, it has consistently held its position as one of the most renowned video game franchises globally.
