Kevin Tancharoen has taken to Twitter once again to reveal a new image from season 2 of Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Since filming began on the second season of Legacy Kevin has been rather forthcoming in giving us teases of what’s to come in the form of simple character or set snapshots. Now with the first footage of MK: Legacy Season 2 set to debut early next month, Kevin has shared an image showing the complete cast.
Last month we received some nice character teases in the form of Liu Kang and Princess Kitana’s wardrobe. Those images, however nice they were, pale in comparison to seeing the entire MK cast stand together for a nice group shot, presumably taken once production the series ended in early December.
Featuring some familiar faces such as Scorpion and Liu Kang, this new cast image provides us with our first look at Kenshi (played by Dan Southworth), Shang Tsung in his regal looking costume, and Mark Dacascos looking like a boss as Kung Lao.
The black clad figure standing tall next to Stryker (Eric Jacobus) is a bit harder to figure out compared to the possible Raiden development. This could be Sub-Zero’s new design, but it’s also possible that this could be Ermac (who was once confirmed to appear) or even Noob Saibot if some character swaps were done.
Some of you may be doing some double takes over this cast image since a few familiar faces are missing. It appears that Jax, Sonya Blade, and Kano may be completely out of action in season 2. Besides those omissions during the actual Mortal Kombat tournament, which the season takes place during, it’s unknown if characters such as Quan Chi and Ermac will still appear of if they were written out.
All together I’m impressed with how good the cast of MK: Legacy Season 2 looks and I think it’s safe to say that most, if not all, of us are excited to see the first trailer arrive next month.
