I wanted more DLC :-/ all the people working on it before it was released said they were gonna put out new stages and fatality packs for DLC too but all that happened was the costumes for half the people. I'll always welcome a new MK game tho :D

There is always the so called GOTY edition, who knows? It might be filled with cool new stuff if it's ever released. @ MKRayden Depends on what gameplay will be used and characters but a new adventure could be welcome if it was different. The arcade fighting of MK9 still sort of breathes but i would be ready to welcome a sequel (MK10). I'm kind of rusty on MK9 i'm sure but the last time i played, i was still alright so learning Scorpion, Raiden and Nightwolf again before the sequel shouldn't be so hard. + I want to know what happened to the ones who died in MKA but also to the ones who died in MK9.:P Last edited by Jonnyrp; 01-03-2012 at 04:07 PM. |

But a new MK before the next gen could guarantee it'll be using MK9 gameplay for most of the returning chars. I never really portrait fighting games as games having a really deep gameplay though. It becomes easy quickly.
For a new adventure game, i would try a gameplay similar to the 2 Batman games. And new chars. Would like to be able to play a MK adventure with the perspective of the bad guys for once. No total Back to the past or back to the future though. And no matter what chars would be used as bosses, making use of cinematics when it's time to introduce them would be cool. The breaks in SM where the characters were seen as they were seen in game instead of having a nice cut scene, cinematic got on my nerves, they mostly talk with themselves in MK and the motions? Moves of the hands when they talk and are seen as they are seen in game, aweful! |

ahhh yeah I remember that I really didn't enjoyed much those real time cutscenes but I can't avoid the fact it still ends up being a cool game to play, I agree with you on some nice animation to accompany entering new places or a boss, it would be awesome as hell, but for now we can only wait and see... on a new fighting game, it would probably be an upgraded MK9 (kind off like MK1/MK2, MK3/UMK3/MKT, MKDA/MKD/MKA etc.) so I'd prefer to wait at least until the game has 1-2 years of being released and give us the adventure game on the wait for a new fighting game

Maybe. But, i would dare to think that they're already working on a next game. Adventure or sequel. Storywise at least. Could not really understand or agree with that excuse of MK9 sales being over 3 millions. Surfing on that wave would make them use many lame excuses.
I agree with the fact that from now on, there might be a lot of pressure as to how to make a new game as good or whatever the ****. But i can't help, each time i hear an artist go like: "Well, i'll give myself and my work some time to breathe now." I can't help but go: "Selfish little..." I realize the irony that saying that ends up making me a little selfish don't worry. Maybe a mix of the 2 wouldn't be impossible: A game that would feature Arcade 1 vs 1 fights. Versus and practice mode. And an adventure added as a mode. A more accomplished one that the MKA Konquest that could take about 5 or 6 hours at least to complete. The chars that end up as bosses or unplayable in the adventure would be in the 1 vs 1 modes that's given. Would remain some extras to work on. Last edited by Jonnyrp; 01-07-2012 at 09:13 PM. |
