In Tekken Tag Kunimitsu has some different moves than Yoshimitsu, don't forget that Yoshimitsu is the leader of the ninja clan. Kunimitsu might have been trained under Yoshimitsu.
The difference is that Kuni uses a dagger, Yoshi uses a sword, both have different buttons to strike with their weapon Yoshi has the sword in his left hand, Kuni has the dagger in her right hand. There are other differences between both. The only things that are the same is the (back + square) spin, (lower diagonal left + cross) spin, both neutral throws from square+cross, triangle+circle are the same, Yoshi has the extended Shark Attack with the Kangaroo Kick, Kuni doesn't go into the Kangaroo Kick for her Shark Attack.

and she also has Yoshi's neutral kicks, and yeah I agree that some things they share aren't with the same combination of buttons but thats almost about it, and I really was talking about Tekken 2 cuz in Tag Tournament her different moves are noticeable when comparing, and Kuni learned the same style as Yoshi, but unlike Yoshi, there wasn't another manji sword for her to use, so she opted for the dagger she has

I think there would have been so many characters to choose from if a Tekken character was within the list of All Time Greatest Video Game Heroes or Heroines!
