Post GameMaster Magazine scan images Online along with Ed Boon Interview

The wait is over Last week The GamesMaster scans are finally in read below mkx online and offline development

New online mode that allows you and 2 other people to fight against another group of 3. Basically each person fights whoever they're matched with on the other team (the fights go on at the same time but through different games). Afterwards when everyone's done, the results show who wins overall based on things like "how many combos did you do" or "how fast did you beat them".

A new dashing mechanic like most of the other fighting games. Also a stamina bar to prevent abuse.

Confirmed to be running 60fps on both X1 and PS4

A new online thing called Factions Mode. In this mode, when you first go online, you can choose one of 5 different factions based on certain existing factions and characters in the lore. Anything you do in-game will contribute to 'war points' for these factions. Whoever earns the most points in the week is declared the winner. The new mode I mentioned earlier is part of this (matchmaking is decided by factions).

The classic arcade ladder now has a scoring system that keeps track of how many fatalities/X-Rays you did and other things like that. You can send this score to your friends as a challenge and they can play through it to see if they can get a better score. -The challenge tower from MK9 returns in the form of 3 always active and always changing towers. One varies itself every few hours, one changes per day and the other is for special events.

Test Your Luck returns and now has a leaderboard.

Ed Boon Interview
Ed Boon with GamesMaster magazine, the creative director of Mortal Kombat X and long time developer of the franchise was asked about his views on the ongoing GamerGate movement.

Boon said that in Mortal Kombat, all females are portrayed exactly like the male characters. There are no ups and downs, and both sexes are showcased as capable fighters. He also pointed out that some of the main stars of the new Mortal Kombat X are female characters, including the new Cassie Cage.

Boon also mentioned that the Mortal Kombat franchise has a higher percentage of female characters than almost any fighting game.

“Our female characters are treated exactly like our male characters, and we have a higher percentage of female characters than almost any fighting game, so I really believe that Mortal Kombat represents empowered women more than almost any game. I hold that up against almost any franchise at all.”
