Kreate a Kharacter Tournament

This is actually an aging, antique idea of a game that was going on over at my site, but since my site is pretty much dead in activity, it's on a stand still(If you want to participate and judge on that one, you can register at my site as well), but I was thinking, since this site still active, I thought I bring it over here to see if there is any taker.

Basically, what we do is, we take people's entries on this thread, and once we reach 32 kharacters, and 4 or 5 judges, I put the kharacters into a box, and pick out the pairings and do the tournaments. Winner goes on to the next round, loser goes home, and determine the final winner, the Champion, and once this tourament is over, another member starts the next one, but the one in my site is currently froze on the tournament no. 5, since no-one is comming back. :(

I actually had created a lot of characters back in the MKA era. Some original ideas, others not. But i love to write and i wrote MK stories for fun starting with MKDA. Some of them introduced a couple of my original characters. Here is one:

Name: Tiara
Gender: Female
Description: An Edenian half human, half animal in terms of look. Mostly like a leopard.
Costume:
Her arms and legs are leopard paws starting at the elbows and knees. She has the tail.
Alternate Costumes:
Fighting Styles: She obviously fights like an animal. (Walking around her adversary on her four paws most of the time.)
Special Moves: Still no idea other than Mule Kick, charging with her forehead
Fatality: Takes her enemy's inside out and start to eat the flesh. Fatality2: Rips the skin of their bodies but slowly and uses it as blanket.

Arena: A really old Edenian palace that never lost anything about it's beauty or majesty even at the time Kahn invaded the realm. Really lightened place where most of the dark entities could never sustain or be comfortable entering.

Foes: Shao Kahn. No other but the vampire Nitara can be both a friend and a nuisance at times. They both get along but in a hard way. (Pride takes over both and then they start arguing violently. Tiara is much older though.)

Cool Kharacter You got there.

Here's my entry.(well lone entry unless people start to enter theirs)

This kharacter finished 4th place on the 3rd tournament of 32 over in my site, whom I have killed off for any future tourney(her ending says it all).

Name: Pyo-Bum(Means Leopard in Korean)
Gender: Female
Origin: Netherrealm
Age: 24
Allegiance: Neutral
Friends: Ashrah
Enemies: None
Description: A young, slender female demon with an evil looking face. She has pink skin and black eyes. Blonde hair that runs to her shoulders, red, skintight costume with various leopard like stripes. Her skin itself has few of the spots as well with some tiger stripes. Her fingernails are long, sharp and black in color. She wears no shoes and it clearly reveals her super sharp toenails as well. She wears a red lipstick. She moves mainly in a slightly crouched stance ready for a surprise attack.
Costume: Primary: Same as description and as the picture.

Alternate: She now wears a brown, leopard suit with cut-outs, and with a long tail on her hips that make her look like a jungle native. Her boots are now in brown as well with some animal furs on top, and her hair is now tied on her back.
Fighting Style:
1) The Animal: The one I made it up. Consists of various slow but heavy damaging close range attacks that looks pretty much like beast hunting for the prey for she slightly crouches and attack with a surprise for the most moves and kombos in this style. It has various throw maneuvers, grab and strike attacks, and a long range rush attacks. The style overall is pretty slow, but if lands, it can do considerable damage. One drawback is that the characters who side-steps much can avoid most of the kombo in this style. The animal mainly has mid and low attacks and lacks any high attacks.
2) Pyo-Bum: Same as her name,(I made it up again), consists of various quick but less damage kombos that most of them has to deal with her super sharp claws on her fingers and toes. Has a few throw maneuvers and various 3 or 4 hits quick punch and kick kombos that also uses heavily on her claws. This style is very fast and unpredictable for most of it comes out so fast and there are a lot of fake motions before the attack actually gets executed, The attacks after that fake motion are so fast, most of the time the unwary opponent would not see it, but it doesn't do that much of a damage. Some kombos starts out slow but as the hits increase, the speed suddenly increases for more vicious kombo damage even though still not as powerful as The Animal. Mainly a high and low attacks and lacks mid moves.
Weapon: The Leaf: a very long sword that has been named as a leaf by the look of it. Pyo-bum can either strike the victim above, below and straight using its various sharp edges at her will. The whole blade can be used as a gadget that can do several hits with a single strike due to the massive set of blades.

Bio: I am Pyo-bum. A demon, a mutant. I am in a race similar to the cats in earthrealm. I entered the Mortal Kombat tournament to slay more demons since Ashrah, former friend of mine have told me countless times, that she would enter the tournament and by slaying demons, she can purify her soul and be able to escape from this stinking Netherrealm. She had told me to do the same. However, I, whom have been born and raised here in the Netherrealm have no intention of getting out of here. Ashrah had no idea that I've been born from here. I, as a native of this realm, have been also been selected as a few to receive a special free pass to travel outside of the Netherrealm for a very short amount of time. The leaf, my sword is just that. It has a special power that, when I show it to the Netherrealm gate guard Tormentor(an old character of mine), he can scan the sword with his sense of radar eyes and let me pass the gates. I've been told that Ashrah did make it out of the Netherrealm but I found the sword that she used in the depths of the Netherrealm. I must bring it back to her. That sword does not do anything for me, since to me, no weapon besides my 'the leaf' can be of any importance. but it might be of some value to Ashrah herself. I've been told to transport the sword outside the Netherrealm, I must compete in Mortal Kombat Tournament, slaying demons myself. So, I have entered the tournament. Since Ashrah's sword doesn't mean anything to me, I may have to relie on the trusty weapon of mine, the leaf. I've also been told that I can not remain in outside world for too long. Since the sword of mine are the gift that was specially given to the selected very few among the natives of Netherrealm, its powers don't last forever and it should be re-charged by returning to Netherrealm after each travel to outside world. I have to compete the tournament in less time as possible and return to Netherrealm, otherwise, my whole body will not function anymore and I will die.
Arena: Fire Pit: In the huge red circular arena with a big gold MK dragon in the middle. On the outside of that circular arena, baraka, other tarkatan races, and various other demons watch the fight chanting in their strange language for their favorite fighter. On one edge, there is a gap and no demons are standing on it, and from time to time, you will see a stream of fire get shot from below. Some tarkatans can be seen eating some dead bodies that are laying about all over the arena and throws the bones into the arena where the combatants are dueling. There are also some poisonous snakes crawling about in the arena randomly.
Deathtrap: When a fighter gets hit by a powerful attack or an uppercut that sends them to that gap of the arena, they will fall eternity until they get engulfed in the fire. The camera will follow them inside the lava and shows as their body turns into the skeleton and crumbles down the bottom of the lava.
Arena Interaction: If the player or enemy is unfortunate enough to step on any of the snakes crawling the arena, the snake will sting the leg of the stepper that will stun them for 3 seconds or until get hit that also drains about 5 percent energy.
Arena Weapon: Various human bones that are scattered around the arena thrown by some tarkatans after their meal. You or your opponent can pick them up and use it as a weapon. Even though they are the bones, they are indestructible and does a fair amounts of damage.
Entrance Animation: A leopard slowly walks in to the arena and turns into Pyo-bum the character
Winning Pose: Howls like a wolf and smiles at the screen in 3D
Get up animation: scratches the ground few times and slowly gets up
Throw Move: Her hair grows a little longer, which she wraps it around the opponent, does a couple of stomach punches and toss them to her back with her hair
Special Moves:
1) Fingernail shoot: F,F, 1(Pyo-bum points her hand toward the opponent, then with a loud roar from her mouth, all 5 fingernails leave her possession, turns into a medium sized fireball and hits the opponent. New set of fingernails immediately comes out from her hand so she can use it again)
2) Fingernail hug: F,F, 2(Pyo-bum rushes at an opponent, grabs their torso with her legs claw, and scratches their face 4 or 5 times with her finger claws then, bites their head before she jumps back that makes the opponent grab their face in agony and faces her)
3) Hair-Spikes: D,F, 4(Pyo-bum bows her head toward the opponent, then, her head shoots a machine-gun with her hair that turns into thousands of yellow spikes and hits the opponent few times, the spikes turns into thousands of leopard's teeth and stays there for 3 seconds, slowly draining the energy of the opponent for that time frame)
4) Neck-Grabber: D,U, 1(Pyo-Bum rushes at an opponent and grabs their neck with one of her hand. The long claws on her hand chokes the victim and make them gasp for air, stunning them for about 3 seconds when she release that grab, allowing her to punish them even more)
5) Roar: D,F, 4(Pyo-Bum opens her mouth and roars at an opponent, then we hear the roar of the actual leopard that knocks down any opponents whom are within range, the mid distance)
6) Torso Bite: F,D, 2(This is a close move for Pyo-Bum. If an opponent is next to her, or about 1 step away, doing this move will have her bite the torso of the opponent and she will lift them a little off the ground then bangs them to the ground that will knock them away a few feet. Not that damaging however)
7) Energy Recharge: D,D, 2(More like a taunt move. She sits down and snooze for 2 seconds and regains about 5 percent energy back, however this leaves her wide open for any low attacks from the opponent)
8) Spirit Dash: B,F, 4(Pyo-Bum raises both of her arms to the sky, then a ghastly image of a leopard forms above the victim's head and drops down on them, grabbing their head with its mouth and tosses them few feet away then disappears)
Fatality:
1) Trophy: F,D,D,U, 4(Pyo-Bum takes out her weapon, cut a little scar on the victim's legs, then uses her claws to open the gaps of that scar and to pull out one of the victim's leg bone in about 3 tries, then impales it on their chest and pull out their heart and plants it on the ground, then, she takes out her weapon and cut off their head, then, repeats the process for the remaining leg-bone from their other leg, impales it on the bottom part of the chopped-off head and plants that beside the heart. FATALITY)

2) Nail-Gun: F,B,B,B, 4(Pyo-Bum repeatedly shoot her fingernails to the victim which gets pinned everywhere on their body, she then walks in, and shred them to pieces)
3) Snack-Time: U,U,U,B, 3(Pyo-Bum does a summersault kick which the claws of her feet cut off the victim's head from the ground, and she catches the flying head in her mouth, chews it and swallows, then spits out the bones on the ground.)
4) Shish Kabob(sp?): F,U,D,B, 3+4(one of Pyo-Bum's claw grows really long. she walks in front of the victim, forcefully opens their mouth, insert that long claw/fingernail deep into it, and with a shrieking scream, hooks their organs on top of each other and shows it on screen, then eats them one by one. FATALITY)

Hara Kiri: U,B,D,B, 2(Pyo-Bum pulls out couple of her claws from one of her hand, and with it, she tears apart her face to a bloody mess and drops to the floor.)
Friendship: F,U,D,U, 3(Pyo-Bum turns into a cute little white cat and purrs on the legs of the victim who picks her up and pets her)
Animality: U,D,U,D, Block(Pyo-Bum turns into a leopard as her name implies, bite off their head and chew and swallows and spits out the bones, and continues with their body. GROSS)
Quote: 'If you think you can out-speed me, try me, I will teach you a lesson you never wished for'
Ending: Pyo-Bum had an easy-ride in the Mortal Kombat Tournament but it wasn't easy to locate Ashrah. She had emerged as victorious in the Mortal Kombat tournament, but her body was already beginning to tear down. She took too much time against the final kombatant Onaga. That was the reason. When she finally located and handed the sword to Ashrah, her body had torn apart beyond recognition. It was too late to return to the Netherrealm. Ashrah, now free from her demon form, did not care much other than her treasured sword that she really wanted to retrieve. She had already asked Shujinko to retrieve it for her but she heard the news that the Thunder god Raiden was furious against him and had already killed him in his punishment for the sin he committed. Ashrah had already been given up hope by then, until her once ally and friend when she was still captured in Netherrealm, Pyo-Bum gone into all that trouble to retrieve it for her. Seeing the terrible rotting body of Pyo-Bum, Ashrah completely forgotten her days of living in hell in the Netherrealm and decided to kill off this hideous looking demon. She took out the sword that she just got from Pyo-Bum and after faking as if she is admiring her weapon once more, she stroke her old time friend number of times, Ending their friendship and murdering the still alive and breathing Pyo-Bum. Ashrah then threw her corpse into the sea of Edenia. Ashrah thought she have seen a vague, ghastly image going up when she threw the body of Pyo-bum, but she didn't really pay any attention to it. May Pyo-bum rest in peace.

Super move: Zig-Zag: She does her claw fireball move on opponent, and it removes top 2 rows and 4 blocks diagonally and the bottom 1 line, and dumps about 20 blocks to the opponents.

You can tell this kharacter is old since, when you read her story, it revolves around Shujinko and Onaga at MKD days. I haven't changed anything.

Now, I have my doubt that this will go any further in terms of torunament(since it died down over on my site), but if we DO get 32 kharacters plus at least 5 judges(judges can also enter their creations, but just can't vote on their own fighter's battle), we can actually start the touranment.

bio: one of shang tsung experiments, Arkinar is a cross breed of raptor and tarkata, he was a failed attempt at making something that was as brutal as baraka but as stealthy as reptile. the stealth that shangtsung gave him is what helped him escape and his brutality is what helped him break out of his cage. Arkina escaped to earthrealm during the first tournement and gravely beaten by skarlet. she left him bleeding out. he managed to crawl to sub zero who froze his gaping wound to try and prevent bleeding. when Arkinar could walk he talked to subzero and found out subzero had a brother. when scorpian killed subzero, arkinar vowed to protect tundra.

fighting style: precise blade movements, very nimble and very quick kicks

A part of my Tiara bio:

Well, i can't tell you how our kind was once called or depicted. Can't either tell you what created us. But i know that i'm one of the rare survivors. I owe it all to Queen Sindel and her Royal family. I owe it all to the Edenian good hearted people. So during my stay there, i tried to repay them the best i could by being a shoulder to cry on for many. I also helped beings such as Nightwolf cleanse his mind from everything that could tarnish it.

My work was really simple but i started to fear one thing, both for myself and Edenia. I could foresee the birth of a Moroi Vampire in Vaeternus. Don't ask how but i wouldn't have thought that this would go much further than a dream. Not long after Shao Kahn had taken control of both Edenia and Vampirerealm, i started hearing stories about a young lonesome, stubborn and rebellious but also surprisingly upright and hearted Moroi Vampire called Nitara. The Moroi nation for the most of them could never comprehend her dedication for the protection of her native land. She fought all of her life to bring back peace in her home where she was told many stories about the different world from which she should have inherited.

Once the Emperor Shao Kahn had fused Vaeternus with Outworld, the failure obviously jumped at the face of the Moroi Elders. The still immature but conscious Nitara wouldn't let Kahn get away with it. I probably should have tried to disuade her but we Edenians all agree on one thing. If the sake of the realms controlled by Shao Kahn could be changed, even by a vampire alone, we would let her do what she had to do. In false show of her allegiance, she attacked Shao Kahn. The fierce battle seemed to favor the kid but only for a short moment. At the end, Kahn was still the most powerful and he took down Nitara with one hit of his wrath hammer. All the rage that Nitara wasted towards Emperor was in vain. She had just made things worse. Of course her people would remain slaves to Kahn's will, but she was at least granted a second chance by the Emperor himself.

Crossing path with Nitara at one of her weakest moment was my/our chance to have a discussion with her but we wouldn't teach anything useful to this already grown up Moroi youngster. She was in fact aware that defeating Kahn wouldn't mean her realm being freed. In order to do so, she knew that she would have to find the mean that Shao Kahn used to fuse the 2 realms. Already familiar with black magic, Nitara was convinced from the start that she could find a way. Bowing down, she put one knee down and respectfully asked Queen Sindel for a tour of the remains of Edenia, to try to find anything she could that could resemble the ancient vampire texts that were carved in many different places around the universes. The only problem was that she could never enter my domain of enlightenment where i have found some of the texts she was talking about. That would not discourage Nitara though. Covering all of her body and her eyes, to prevent the burns, i took her there. But not before i helped her to train her mind. Since she could never stand the guilt and any other emotion she would feel once in there. In order to do so, she first had to learn how to make her personal demons her own, learn to accept them and control them instead of struggling against them all. They would destroy her for sure. But she followed my instructions and all went well. She was obviously unable to read the texts but could feel them as her fingertips were moving across the wall. She then asked for a copy of these engraved texts and also promised that she did not have to take them out of Edenia. Just putting her in a dark cell with a copy of the readings and she could find answers related to her homeland.

Soon after we agreed and released her, Nitara disappeared in the remains of her Vampirerealm and rare are those who have seen her since and survived. But she is still searching. She now knows that in order to separate her realm from Outworld she must find an artifact that Kahn used to fuse the realms. The location remains to find. She won't give up and will most likely one day, give back her realm it's independance. If some of what's lost can't be saved, some can be restored. And what remain can be rebuild. The enraged monster living inside of her is no different. She could finally shovel it down inside or will it away if only she had the strenght to regain both her land and herself the dignity that she's still convinced she had lost and should have been provided with at birth.

Her dedication is almost an inspiration. I, Tiara never really took any time to ask myself where i was from or if i could ever do something to find my answers.

I am really happy with all the help i provided her with, but now it seems that she's growing older really quickly. Becoming a more determined and aware being. I fear i cannot stay ahead of Nitara in terms of knowledge for long. Our last meeting proved it. However, she knows where my loyalty lies. With the gods and the Edenian people. As long as Nitara and i can remain on the same level of thought and as long as she won't be threat for my realm of allegiance, i can promise that things won't heat up more that they already started to.

Bio: Vlad is merely Raiden and everyone's enemy. He's got no allies at all but as a demon, he fought against Thunder God a lot of times. The realms in which he walked (Earthrealm, Outworld, Netherealm, Vampirerealm, Edenia and Seido. For the most of them wouldn't even welcome him. Even the tortured souls of Vaeternus found a way to throw him out.) He wants revenge on most of the realms litteraly.

Name: Lu Bu
Gender: Male
Description: A fierce warrior from Han era china, powerful and deceptive, as he has killed two of his adoptive fathers.
Costume: light leather and metal plated armor, covered with beatiful battle robes and a feathered headdress
Alternate Costumes: heavy armor of gold covered with scale like patterns and dragon designs

Fighting Styles:
Mixed Martial arts - multiple moves and strategies from multiple styles would he used by this feared general
Crescent Ji - a long spear tipped with a heavy axe style blade, two on the sides of the shaft, one of a crescent moon shape, the other a spiked blade , the top blade is more of a traditional spear tip.

Special Moves:
Halberd grab : Lu Bu stabs his opponant in the stomach with the spear tip of his halberd, tosses them up in the air and slams them back into the ground with the lunar blade

Rage : Does Double damage for 5 seconds but also takes extra damage from projectile attacks , can only be done once per match

Bow: Lu Bu pulls out his trusty bow and shoots two arrows, he is limited on how many times he can use it however

Musou Attack : lu bu jumps and spins , allowing his weapon to smack the enemy in the head 3 times before a single swipe sends them flying.

Very Enraged [tag only-partner must be diao chan] : if diao chan is killed before lu bu, he will gain an instant rage move that lasts 3 seconds longer


Fatality:
Red Hare : Lu Bu gets on his large steed Red Hare, rushes the enemy, the giant horse knocks opponant on ground and stomps their chest, blood sprays from their mouth, lu bu gets off and decapitates the downed enemy

halberd Fury, lu bu slashes his enemy with his halberd, severing arms and eventually he crushes their head .

heroic suicide: after defeat, Lu Bu pull an ornate sword from his belt, gives it to his enemy and allows them to decapitate him

Lü Bu, familiar name Fengxian, served as a bodyguard and commander under Ding Yuan, who adopted him as a young man. After the Yellow Scarves’ rebellion ended with the death of the three Zhang brothers, Dong Zhuo took control of the Han Court and invited all the Lords that fought against the Turbans to Wenming garden. There he noticed a large man who accompanied Ding Yuan.

Dong Zhuo asked his advisor Li Ru about him. “That is Lü Bu, the adopted son of Ding Yuan. You must keep out of his way my lord.” Heeding this advice, Dong Zhuo hid himself so that he would not been seen by Lü Bu.

The next day, Ding Yuan’s armies assembled outside to fight with Dong Zhuo’s troops. Lü Bu rode at the forefront of Ding Yuan’s army. His hair was arranged under a beautiful headdress of gold, and he had donned an embroidered thousand-flower fighting robe, a pheasant tailed helmet, a breastplate, and around his waste was a gleaming jade belt with a lion’s head clasp. With his spear set, he rode next to his master Ding Yuan.

Lü Bu rode towards Dong Zhuo’s army as soon as the battle started. Dong Zhuo turned his army around and fled. The battle was a great victory for Ding Yuan whose army slew many soldiers during the pursuit.

Dong Zhuo retired ten miles further and set up camp, calling his officers to council. Dong Zhuo was impressed by Lü Bu and said, “This Lü Bu is a marvel, if he only were on my side, I would defy the whole world!” Dong Zhuo’s follower Li Su came up with a plan to persuade Lü Bu to join Dong Zhuo’s army. He suggested using the Red Hare, a fine bred horse, as a bribe for Lü Bu.

Thus, it was decided and Dong Zhuo sent Li Su to Lü Bu, along with a thousand ounces of gold, ten strings of beautiful pearls, a jewelled belt, and the Red Hare.

Li Su arrived at Lü Bu’s camp and requested to see him. After exchanging formalities, Li Su told Lü Bu that he had brought a marvellous gift with him. Lü Bu bade the guards to bring out the gift. after killing Dong Zhuo , Lu Bu wonders the land, and hears of a tournament, he decides his might will make him champion. he is in the fight of his life.

Ending:
After winning the tournament, Lu Bu seizes control of outworld, using his new powers, he rules with an iron fist, much similar to Shao Khan, Lu Bu Trusts No man, except his beautiful wife, Diao Chan, one of the mythical beauties of China. the remnants of Kahn's army surround Lu Bu's palace, in hopes to overthrow the tyrant

Arena:

Hu Lao gate - Lu Bu historically held off the entire allied army here, this large gate protects the capital city of Luoyang, only the three brothers of Guan Yu, Liu Bei and Zhang Fei forced him to retreat. the battle beggins on top of the massive walls, you can use a grapple to throw you opponant through the guard towers, and you may even be knocked off the walls onto the spiked weapon racks below for a stage finisher.

charactor is very heavily based off the real general Lu Bu, along with the Charactor from Romance of the Three Kingdoms and the Sangoku musou series

In order for this to really start, we need 32 kharacters, 27 now that we have 5. I don't really think this will pick up anytime soon since this is afterall, an ancient idea that no-body on my site even cares anymore(well, that is, if there's anyone coming back..... :( ), Also we need some Judges signing up. Just kharacter alone, we can't start the tourney.

But, who knows, if people continue to enter their kharacters, we MAY actually be able to start the tourney.
