I'm 20 years old and I've been playing video games for about 17 years. I remember playing Pac-Man at the arcade with my mom holding me up to the machine. I remember when I got a Nintendo and playing Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt. I remember when the Super Nintendo came out, and when they released the newer model of the Super Nintendo. I miss those days.

I'm 23 years old and the next set is a series of true stories. As I got older (This would be around June of 2000 when I was 16), I became somewhat disinterest in playing video games (I would only play ONE video game for a full year from June 2000-June 2001), but would still pay attention to what's going on and talk with my friends about games and systems. But I wasn't also really caring about them or using any of my systems.

By October of 2001, I became interested in video games again with the releases of (I'm sorry and I apologize if I'm going to offend anyone for what I'm about to say), the X-Box (Or as I called it at the time "The Heart Attack, Seizure, Hyper-Ventilating, Stroke suffering, makes you go Crazy, Panic Attacking, Heavenly Flourescent Green Light, and The Green Light calling of God shining down on this") machine, the Sony Playstation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and even though it came out a couple of months earlier, The Gameboy Advance. Plus some of the games (Like Eternal Darkness on the GameCube) were really cool to me.

I'll explain the X-Box story. Back when this system first came out, people in my High School (Especially in my friend's Grade 12 English Class), where everyone (According to my friend and I believe him even though I wasn't in his class) would like "Hyper Ventilate and act crazy. Plus whenever I would go to Electronic Boutique, I would see people "Jumping up and down" around the X-Box, acting crazy, and I think the green light was calling people out to come and they would be like crawling on their knees acting like "It's the X-Box. I must get to it before I suffer a massive heart attack".

One of my friends and I were like one of the few people in our school who didn't fall for what we called "The X-Box's Heavenly Syndrome", which is why like I stated above is the reason I would hate the X-Box for like a year or two.

In the summer of 2002 (I was 18), my brother and I sold all of our games and systems (At that time we only had The Sega Genesis and the Sony Playstation 1, plus we hadn't used them since early 2000), so that we can buy a bunch of action figures and toys as there were so many cool ones that either came out the year before, had, or were about to come out and we wanted to get some of them.

Another reason was because I was starting to become a Star Wars (And I still am, but I don't like the 30th Ann Coll figures a lot except for the exclusive figures) collector & fan. But I would still play video games in public places or events.

But in January 2003, my brother asked me a question which was "Does the Sony Playstation 2 play DVD's" (You have to remember, DVD players were still expensive and the only reason some/most people had one was because they either had the X-Box and Sony Playstation 2 and we didn't, unlike most people who were starting to, have a DVD player), and I go "Yeah, why". He goes "Because we got a Sony Playstation 2" and I had to check it out and it was true.

And I thought it was cool that we now have a DVD player. But believe it or not though, it took a couple of months for me to start playing or feeling comfortable playing video games again. Also I was using the Sony PS2 more for my music CD's than games for about a year, but I'm a gamer again.

I currently have 3. The Sony Playstation 2, The first Sega Genesis, and the SNES. It's just that like I said (Though I didn't write this down) I've been a gamer since 92, but then later, I became somewhat disinterested in video games starting in 2000, then I got back (Though I didn't play much), from the fall of 2001 to early 2003, but I've been a gamer since late 2003.

Sweet, SNES is the best console of all time. It's a good thing you bought one when you did, it's harder to find them now a days.
