Ah, yes, Midway boards is a very good source of information and very popular indeed. Not making fun of there of course :D I don't have an account there. It's a lot of information to keep up with. Here it's steady so you don't get left behind with 10 pages of new replies =)

Well one has to understand that it's not about Midway directly. Many countries such as Canada and the U.S are in a recession right now, and they said a unsecured creditors, meaning there is no guarantee for the payment, and out of their hands it seems. They may get screwed too if they're paying out salaries as well..I'm not sure if they do but they want guarantee's of money and a job, something they really can't afford to wait around for at this point, and the stress of bankruptcy isn't helping either. Therefore, it may be BEST to move on to something less stressful with more benefits and guarantee's. Also it would suck for most of the team to leave Midway as they really make MK for what it is, they know it BEST.

Also, you have to remember a lot of the teams got laid off, AND they do deserve compensation. Yes it seems silly but if you think about the lack of jobs being hired for out there and the bankruptcy, they need all the money they can get. And it is frustrating being promised or told you will receive bonuses, which for most account for vacation and other savings, to wait on empty promises. Happened at my old job..a lot of us were SUPPOSED to be evaluated and then given raises to those who deserved it but only a small portion got it... as in the foods supervisors..I was floor. It ticked me off royally as I was busting my butt already and even more so for something that wasn't coming for me it seemed. Although I thought of asking for a raise I never did..25 cents more is what I would have gotten.so basically $8.75/hr if I got it..didn't seem worth it at the time so I eventually left..not just for that but other things as well.

Anyone who is taking more money then they deserve right now is being selfish and should be shot in the face with a cannon. People are losing jobs left and right and these people think they deserve something extra for work they already know isn't nearly as important as it once was.

And you know what really kills me is that they probably did get paid for all the hours they worked on the game...they probably did get paid for the over time and I am sure 100% none of them are close to being poor... and these are not stupid people ... they know full well that midway is on the verge of shutting down and really its just nervy if you ask me to ask a company for your BONUS knowing full well the money could be used for more then a car or big screen tv cause chances are thats what it will be used for...

Well yes it seems like a lot to be expected right now, but getting paid a salary isn't the issue, it's the extra promised. It seems they were possibly promised this before bankruptcy? Can't really make a full opinion until you have all the facts really. However, if they choose to leave then I guess they would forfeit their bonus.

They're must be other stuff going on for them to be ticked over just one matter, really..it can't just be this...something else has to have lead up to this point. Although I think they should be grateful Midway is still happening despite them going out of business...this much has been obvious for years, it was just a matter of time...John Tobias saw this, that's why he left.

well i can't really say i agree with the tobias comment but what i can say is that for them to be like...HEY PAY UP OR WE ARE GONE...is kinda ballsy in itself..i say let em leave more money for midway to let new people with new ideas come in and work on the game...hell honestly a fresh mind might help... true it could hurt baddly but it could be really really good too...

but honestly i don't respect anyone for asking for more then they are given at this time... this time its just a bad time for lots of people and really you need to think about the whole and not just your little part... because right now is not the time for bs
