Mine would go as following:

Scorpion
Noob Saibot(Bi Han)
Reptile
Sonya
Raiden
Shang Tsung
Kitana
Jade
Kano
Sub-Zero(Kuai Liang)
Smoke
shinnok

You mean they should never disappear forever or that should come back every game?

In the Shouldn't leave forever, almost all of them but maybe MOKAP and BLAZE i could do without.

Should be in every game there are about 5 or 6 chars:

Nitara
Scorpion
Tanya
Nightwolf
Kenshi
And maybe Raiden. Still undecided but guess i could do without him for a game or 2. As i was able for the others. But Scorp has no chance to take a rest as it seems.

Most of the character should keep coming back. That being said, i'd love to see them alter a little more. Would like to see if i could enjoy an MK game where there's no Raiden and no Scorpion.

I bet i could if it introduced Tanya, Nightwolf and Kenshi.

Never disappear, Mileena, Jade and Kitana. Couldn't care less about the other girls. I like Tanya too tho :D as long as my girls keep comin back, I'll keep buyin MK games!!

Hum. Cool looking girls i like. But what if there is a game with only one of them? And before you reply, the one introduced isn't your fav of the bunch. Cause if i'm right, having only one of them happened in the past.

I bought MKvsDC when only Kitana was in it, so if only one of them is in one, I'd still probably buy it...I mean I have favorite guy characters too, but I don't have like a specific one. I love MK for the action and stuff so no matter who's in the game, I'll buy it. As long as its not like Armageddon with no real fatalities

hmmm probably Scorpion is the staple one, there's no MK without Scorpion, one of the reasons (actually said by Boon himself xD) why MK3 wasn't too popular while UMK3 went to tournament scene xD other than Scorpion.... mmm probably the ninjass (Cyber and Female included), Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Johnny Cage.... and dunno who else xD

They probably wouldn't be where they are if it was not for Scorpion imo. Agree with 3SM Mikey, Armageddon was blank, mainly in terms of fatalities. But for the characters having similar features, this was the perfect game to finally discover your bunch of favs.

damn right on that one, what bugs me is that at some point they would have at least different commands for each character... that would've been a little more interesting
