Where are they at the moment?

I actually have more than one question that i'll post in one topic. From now on, is MK9 the only canon game in the series? (Meaning everything leading to Armageddon and the Armageddon not being a reference)?

And there is still a list of about 30 characters in the roster or more that should be alive, at the moment at least since MKA never happened. Where do you think they are?

I sort of doubt they would do another bold move like putting all of the 3d MKS together into one big story but let's see. Since i wouldn't be surprised that the story comes up with half of it being totally new, i'm interested in seeing what happens with Outworld now that Kahn is out. A war for the throne among the characters maybe?

Tanya is from MK 4/Gold, Mavado and Frost is from MKDA, Kobra is from MKDec, Quan Chi is in both MK 4/Gold and MKDA.

I like your ideas Kombatant Mark Anthony. Mostly Tanya's. I think Shinnok could be a blast as a boss. If they use his two forms well. His demon form is interesting.

Now that Shang Tsung seems to be gone for a while, i wonder who Kenshi will seek revenge on.LOL But Quan Chi seems to be getting himself more and more enemies as years go by.

I remember Quan Chi disguised himself as a Sub-Zero in Ultimate MK3 or MK Trilogy if you play one of them it says the new character will be revealed in the next MK game, doesn't Quan Chi in MK4 have the ice weapon that Sub-Zero has in this game.
Maybe Kenshi and Ermac work together to help each other defeat foes that have double crossed them, maybe Scorpion might be fighting Ermac and Kenshi, they could try to find a way of finding the people responsible for changing the Lin Kuei clan into Cyborgs and might find a way to restore the memory of Human Smoke.

I wonder if anyone or any group will ever put their hands on that Cyborg technology besides the Lin Kuei from now on? Anyway, still i doubt all 3d MK games will be covered in the next one but i guess i once wrote that here somewhere... Along with a possible war for the throne of Outworld (Unless i'm wrong Mileena seems to be the last with some sort of Royal connection), i think the Earthrealm won't be the only one in trouble against the Netherealm. An alliance between earth and Outworld seems likely to be. It would be short lived based on what kind of creatures or foes Outworldians might get to be to the earth warriors.

There is still the characters that were involved in the war between Order and Chaos (Which i was not a fan of.) I know though that they can make it better next time. But i think this would be a different story. Wonder what those guys would have to do entangled with all the others yet but who knows? That might just come later as another part of the story.

That's likely to happen after the success of MK9. Now all we know is that they can continue on with the story and timeline of MK4-DA and MKD and make some changes in the outcome of events or forget all about these games story and do something totally new, which i'd say is unlikely with Shinnok coming in the play and the bunch of the MK4-MKD era and fans.
