He has a cool hat... :D Other than that, nothing too impressive in his design or moves in my opinion.

I also like his hat,but don't forget his teleport move,his spin,his diving kicks,and his team moves with liu.

it's ok if you like him more than liu(as long as you still respect liu kang)

I don't know why a lot of people in midway forums hate liu.(and they keep calling him "turkey boy")

on topic:anyone else want to show their oppinion about kung lao.(about BOTH his individual moves and his team moves with liu)

Lol Turkey Boy .. Maybe that explains the "Fhuda" and his other dialogues when attacking..

hmm..i like Kung Lao in MK Shaolin Monks the Most... His Ko-Op in it was impressive .. his air kicks , Hat throwing , Spining , inivisiblity And a Nice costume with a Great Hat! ;)..thats All i can say about him!

Lao is an original character, I like him cause he is original (including special moves and combos), he's not like one of my most favorite but I do gotta say, he's got some moves in UMK3/MKT and MKA, I dunno bout MKD, MKDA, or MKSM, I never played those, but his combos in MKA are pretty brutal and in UMK3 he has pretty good combos n' specials...BTW, what happen to that spin move of his?
